Season tickets for '08-'09?

Greetings Raider fans. For the first time ever, I face the prospect of having to pay for tickets. I was a student for 5 years (in the pep band) and then my girlfriend, currently a student, was able to get me free tickets after I graduated. She graduates this summer and will be working a lot...leaving me to get tickets myself.

I'm wondering when I'll be able to order season tickets. I went to wsuraiders.com and they had the order form for '07-'08. I presume...

they beat cleveland state 2-0. sharon palma pitched a complete game shutout. she pitched every inning of the tournament for the raiders, i'm gonna guess she'll be tournament mvp, but we'll see. they're going to the ncaa tournament for the second straight year, and they'll find out where and when they play tomorrow. go raiders! good luck in the ncaa tournament!

Wright State has updated its posting for games for the upcoming season on basketballtravelers.com. It now says we are looking to start multiple home/home series on the ROAD and the dates are November 22nd, and 28-30th. and December 13 or 14th. Does this mean that the Home schedule is set. There are a lot of attractive teams looking for games such as South Alabama, Missouri State, Ohio U., Southern Ill, Akron, James Madison and Duquesne.

They played their opening round game today, winning 4-3 over 4th seed Loyola (WSU is the 3rd seed). As many of you know, this year's offense has set many school records, is all over the national rankings, and is probably the best in school history, but they managed only one hit through six innings and trailed 3-0 entering the bottom of the seventh. The Raiders rallied and scored two on a bases-loaded single by Allison Cox, and two more on another bases-loaded single by Bri Birl to win....

Tony Ortiz, Wright State University's director of athletic training and sports medicine, was honored last month by the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs as one of 10 Distinguished Hispanic Ohioans at the organization's gala in Columbus.

Each spring, the organization awards Latinos in Ohio with the Distinguished Hispanic Ohio Award based on exemplary service both in their professions and in their communities.

The DDN announced today that a forward, Cory Johnson, is transferring from Iowa State to Valpo. He was a sophomore this past season, averaging less than 9 minutes per game, and less than 3 points per game.

On Facebook I recently made a group titled "WSU > UD" and hundreds of WSU students joined and the number of members for the group continue to climb. Hundreds of WSU > UD window stickers for cars were given out at this years May Daze Party this year by the Raider Rowdies table. Teams Looking for Teams in 2008-09

Here's a website for men's NCAA basketball programs looking for opponents. Last that I heard, we still had some openings. A few that are looking for home & homes are DePaul, Northwestern, UMass, Southern Illinois, and Ohio U. Any of these would be great additions to the schedule, assuming that we/they can fit into existing schedules.

I hear Tyanda Hammock is is good spirits and doing well. She has one round of chemo left and will then begin some radiation treatments. She is eager to get back into shape to try out to play in Europe. She is expected to do well there because they love the 3 point shot. She was second in the nation her senior year in 3 point percentage.

Ms. Whiteside is doing very well in Germany.

New Saturday Night Home for the Bombers?

I attended the Troy Business Expo today. The Dayton Bombers had a booth there and were promoting a 6 game Hobart Arena ticket package for the 2008-09 season. I noticed that 5 of those games are scheduled for Saturday evenings with the 6th on a late Sunday afternoon. The Saturday dates are 11/15, 11/29, 2/7, 2/14, and 3/21. The Sunday date is 3/22.

Looking at this Hobart Arena ticket package and reading between the lines, I came away with the distinct impression that Wright State...
