"DAYTON - Cory Cooperwood, a two-time junior college All-American at
Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama, has signed a
letter of intent to attend Wright State University and play for the

Apparently not much! But that is impressive to me. Didn't know Omaha was such a basketball hotbed.

On a side note. With the Reds recent 5 game slide, and the Bengals looking lik a 6-10 or 7-9 team, I am ready to skip baseball and football season and head right back to college basketball!

keith we were talking about Creighton in another thread being an attractive job. TGM brought it up.

I don't think Brownell will go to the MVC, but Creighton is one of those mid-major programs where I wouldn't be upset if Brownell went someday. I'd like to see him go to like the Big 10 or Big East if he did leave, but Creighton is close to some of the BCS schools in salaray and facilities I believe.

I just looked up some stats on Creighton's basketball...

that is the investment in the future i am talking about. will we have the money when we are drawing 7k regularly and competing in post season almost every year. yes we will. but to do that you need a quality coach and so we need to invest in him right now. we find the money. money won't keep bb from his "dream job" and i will understand if he leaves us to take that. but if he leaves us to go to creighton or siu because they will pay him more that would be very bad. it is an...

According to the DDN, Brad is making 300K this year. I don't know what all the other Horizon league coaches are making but Jeter at Milwaukee is making 400K base...

wolf, i think sometimes a program wanting to go to the next level has to take a leap of faith. bb has clearly turned this program around and is taking it in the direction of being in the elites of mid major hoops. keeping him as our coach can have an enormous impact on our progress toward that goal. therefore we need to do everything we can to sweeten the bb pot. lets make sure he is the best paid coach in the horizon and amongst the elite mid major coaches. maybe we mortgage the farm to do...

Keith, Again, this is just speculation on my part, but I can see Coach B staying for 4 years. After that, I think it will be an annual thing to have his name being tossed about for every opening. Some year one of his "desired" jobs will open up and he'll be gone. But for now, I think he is very committed to the guys he brought in last year. I expect he'll stay until they are done with basketball at WSU. After that... stay tuned.
