I think it is way to early to venture a guess. I would think 20 plus is realistic without any injuries.

I would have to say getting more than 24 is quite a projection. I'd like to push or just go barely under. I fully believe we'll get 20 wins, but it's tough to say, without even seeing this team practice that we'll win 25 games

Mungo, IMO you can book it that this team is our best ever, to be exceeded by next year's team. I may be proven wrong with time, but that is my current assessment. Don't forget to mention Pressley along with the other big men. We lose Pleiman and Wilson, but we add Grote, Pressley, Lewis, and Cooperwood. I suspect those 4 big men may play the most minutes among our 7 big men. Cooper Land may make it into the top 4 to make it a top 5.

I am very excited about the prospects...

Add into the mix Scott Grote who already is a solid D-1 player and on paper we should be very good. Can't wait until the season starts.

Man if Wright State wins 25 games that will be an amazing year. I know the expectations are high, but I didn't really think about them winning 24-25 games.

It's definitely possible. But I'd also keep in mind that the Raiders could have lost a lot of those one point wins last year. So they're definitely going to have to improve in some areas to win 24-25 games. They had a very good year this past year and I think were a solid team when they lost their last game to...

Definitely an over. I was gonna say just exactly 24, but if I gotta go one way or the other, it will be 24.
Even if we don't get 24 in the regular season, it's a sure bet when you throw in HL tournament and post season.
Who knows, we might even get another tourney like the Dr. Pepper Classic during the season. Does anybody
know when pre-season NIT comes out with their invitees?

I certainly can't say how many games we'll win next year, but I think our chances will improve greatly depending upon how quickly the two new JCs become incorporated into our scheme of things. It sounds like Cooperwood will fit easily into the team and be a contributor immediately. I don't know much about Lewis, but if he can be a defensive force inside and rebound I think we'll all be happy.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Scott Grote and Kyle Pressley taking...

So on collegehoopsnet we should be listed not only in their top 144, we should be in the top 64 or so because they are saying we are an NCAA tournament team. At least we get some respect after ESPN's bracketology's failure to recognize us.

I also wanted to mention that Coach Stevens of Butler was rewarded with a 7 year contract.

24 is a nice goal. I just know that I am going to like this team's chances to win 22-24 games and win the league. It should be a lot of fun.

They may take some knocks later on also. Even Howard played like a frshman at times this past year. Whoever listed Butler as a bubble team for next year is obviously out of his mind or he is a delusional Butler fan. But that is just my opinion.

It was surprising to me to see Butler listed as a "bubble team" next year after losing 5 out of the top 6 players from this year's squad. The recruiting class looks good but the team will be very young and unproven. They have a very difficult non-conference schedule and may take some knocks early on.

i know it is far off but espn is predicting next years 64 teams in and guess who gets out of the horizon....not butler, not valpo, not even WSU it is cleveland state. just thought i would throw that out

The key to a proper over/under poll should be the ability to get a 50/50 vote. Doing that on a sports board is difficult, since there are both those that favor the team and the usual trolls that will invade the poll just to vote against WSU. I originally was going to post an over/under of 22, but figured that would not get the proper split. As some posters have said its hard to predict without seeing a schedule but I voted under. We can get 23 wins and still tie the school record. Whats key is a tough but fair non-conference schedule. Not all road games in december or not too easy a non-conference schedule that we breeze through but falter in the HL. A BCS school scheduled on the road is great if combined with several home games against the MAC or MVC getting key wins and a home winnable bracketbusters game. Our RPI has to be...

if we have a 24 win season and make it to the tourny and maybe even sneak out a win we will not have a coach that next year so i wouldn't look that far ahead. I hope we make it to the tourny and then who ever the new ad is takes out a massive loan to up brownell's salary so we can keep him for the senior season

I think most feel next year is going to be a very good year, but just how good? Is 24 wins a stretch? Vote now over or under 24 wins. And yes, I know it depends on the schedule, but still, how many wins did Butler have last year? Will we be at least as good as they were last year, even with their tough nonconference schedule?
