Second, since we had a brief discussion recently about the HL tournament, I thought I&#39;d offer up some options and see how the fans feel.


A. Keep the tournament as it is, that is with 3 vs 10, 4 vs 9, etc. with teams 1 and 2 having byes for two rounds. Round 2  would be played at the court of the... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ You are right All Hoops, unless maybe they would allow a local fox affiliate to pick up the game, but only if FCS isn&#39;t picking up all 8 first round games.
Something I just realized is that I like to go to the NCAA play-in game each year at UD, so I hope if WSU does play in the CBI, that they move them to the
Wednesday night game. That would avoid a conflict with local basketball fans such as myself. I of course would have to give up my tickets to the play-in game

			<description><![CDATA[ The main problem I see with filling the Nutter Center by Tuesday/Wednesday with enough people to raise $60,000 is that they didn&#39;t plan out in advance like
they did for the HL tournament. The ticket office should have sent out fax/mailers to ask season ticket holders if they would be interested in buying tickets
if WSU was invited to the NIT/CBI tournament and hosting. This would have given them a head start in getting people into the NC. So without this preparation

			<description><![CDATA[ Wish I would have been in on the discussions concerning hosting a CBI game ( not necessarily having any influence in the final decision ). You have to commit
to $60,000 ( split between the teams ), that sounds like a lot. My first goal would be $30,000 to cover the other team and any shortfall would be on our end.
Not much time to promote it, who&#39;s the opponent? Do Raider fans want to support ANY postseason home game? Anyway, I might say we should use it as a

			<description><![CDATA[ I believe WSU is definitely in the CBI probably on the 3 seed line (10th of 16 overall in CBI). From my calculations there are 113 postseason positions (65
NCAA, 32 NIT, 16 CBI). The NCAA has 32 automatic bids, and the NIT takes any regular season league winner that did not make the NCAA.  From what I have
figured, there are 15-18 automatic spots taken by teams that are currently higher than WSU in the ratings systems in the NCAA and NIT combined. Wright State
has an average of 89 rating... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>As far as the post season tourney goes, I believe the regular season should be something that really counts, so I like the current tournament format,
(possibly with a day&#39;s rest bewteen quarters and semis playing Friday and Sunday). But one thing I defnitely would change would be the tie breaking
scenario. First of course would be head-to-head, if that doesn&#39;t determine a winner, I would use a point system tie breaker.

			<description><![CDATA[ The tie breaker went in our favor last year, but Butler still received a double bye. The tie breaker did enable us to get home court advantage. Also last year
we won the tie breaker outright.

This year it had to go to a &quot;secondary tie breaker, because teams 4-7 finished in a 4 way tie. As a result of that tie breaker our performance against
Valpo worked against us, yet UIC gets 4th place and Valpo gets 6th. I&#39;m still having problems with that one.

			<description><![CDATA[ Klinger, while I agree that it is not fair to the #3 team, we only have to go back to last year when the tie breaker went in our favor.  Talk about an
advantage, we got home court advantage plus the 2 byes while Butler only got the 2 byes.  Are there better systems, sure.  Should we try this one for a while
and evaluate the results in a few more years, probably.  If there is a problem with the system, then we need to try and correct it for everyone, not just when

			<description><![CDATA[ The Big Sky does not give 2 byes. Big Sky is a nine-team league that invites only six teams to post-season play. The 1-seed gets a bye to the semi-finals.

<p>Wright State finished the regular season in a tie with Cleveland State. We had identical 12-6 league records. A tie breaker (and I&#39;m not sure what it
was), gave the Vikings the #2 seed and a 2 round bye, while we were awarded the #3 seed, and the task of winning 3 games in 5 days to advance to the
championship game.
