Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Dunn are killing the Reds. EE comes to bat with bases loaded and 2 outs 4 times in
the weekend Pirates series. He goes 0 for 4, leaving all 12 men on base. He could have collected a ton of RBIs, but came up with ZIP. And how many times do we
get to watch Adam Dunn come up with the bases loaded and less than 2 outs, only to wiff for a K? Talk about an unproductive out! You don't even give the
defense the opportunity to screw up, runners don't advance, nobody scores, and you put the pressure on the next batter. Watching that crap is getting real
old and we've still got 149 games to play. Sparky Anderson would say "As his big bats go, so goes the team". Right now, Dunn, EE, and Griffey
aren't doing much.
When Gonzalez returns to the line up at shortstop, probably around the end of April, I'd move Keppinger to 3rd base, and send EE to Louisville, where he belongs. In the bullpen, Todd Coffey would be my odd man out when Matt Belisle returns. Coffey absolutely stinks when you need him.
